Jack
Fireman was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1966. He graduated
from the University of Toronto in 1961, with a Bachelor of Arts, Osgoode Hall
in 1964 with a Bachelor of Laws, and New York University in 1968 with a Masters
in Laws. Mr. Fireman was also appointed Queen's Counsel in 1979 and is certified
as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada. Mr.
Fireman is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association,
the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, The Advocates' Society, and the American
Trial Lawyers Association, and is a speaker and lecturer much in demand by many
professional organizations. For over thirty-four years, Mr. Fireman represented
the Insurance Industry as defense counsel, before switching to the Plaintiff side
in May 2000. Mr. Fireman continues to be available to act as counsel for other
firms.
In the annual survey conducted by Lexpert, Jack has been
honored as “Most Frequently Recommended” in
the category of personal injury lawyers in the Toronto area
for each of the 13 years the survey has been published.
Additionally, Mr. Fireman was ranked as “Consistently
Recommended” in the area of commercial insurance litigation,
and was “Repeatedly Recommended” in the area
of products liability litigation.
In 2007, Mr. Fireman was honored by the National Post/Financial
Post in their inaugural listing of the Best Lawyers
in Canada, under the category of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Outside the office, Jack has been featured several times
on TSN for his role as the founder and driving force behind
the two time world champion Toronto Gators, in the sport
of fastpitch softball. The Gators remain the only Canadian
team to have won the International Softball Congress
World Championship in well over 60 years of competition. |
